Architecture & Design
Its construction, entirely rendered in clay, is a combination of adobe, stone, straw and local woods. Each room is different, with a spatial layout that unfolds along small winding paths that connect them, giving them both privacy and mystery. All of this within a vast expanse of land and against the impressive scenic backdrop of the Andes mountains. Seen from the outside, it gives the feeling of being in a small Altiplano village.
The décor was developed around the concept of visual silence: the eye takes in the hotel in its entirety, set within the immensity of the desert, without being distracted by objects other than those that serve a purpose. Likewise, the hotel aims to make visitors feel that this is a welcoming place, one that lets them enjoy the silence and the view, sheltered from the intense climate of San Pedro.

Our restaurant and bar—the centerpieces of our home—are supplied with local, seasonal ingredients and tend a garden of native herbs that honors the flavors of the desert.

Location
Altiplanico San Pedro Hotel in Atacama is located three blocks away from downtown on the road to the Pukará de Quitor. It is an ideal location, not so far away from town but not so near.
